The best part of working with DAZ Studio is the fantastic character creation happens right at the start. The skin texture, hair, and morphs make me become attached to the work. The lighting can be made just so.
The awful part comes after. When I don't have the modeling skills to make exactly the costume I want. Everything close enough gets put on. The textures are all wrong. It's ugly. If it's not close enough in shape I create blank props and parent them to the figure as a basis for later postwork.
Then, posing. It's ugly. I parent the lights, scene background, and face camera to the head so the lighting stays perfect on the face and hair
